Pi Beta Phi Sorority Sends Love Overseas for Xmas

The Pi Beta Phi
Sorority is busy again,
this time the girls are
spreading good cheer
for the upcoming
Christmas season.
Christmas is a time to
rejoice and be thankful
for what one has; we are
hoping to make some
less fortunate children
have a much brighter
Christmas this year.
Through Operation
Christmas Child and the
2nd annual Teddy Bear
Tree, the sorority plans
to share the goodwill of
the Christmas season
with less. fortunate chil-
dren. We will be sending
gifts overseas to chil-
dren in developing
countries that have

never experienced the
joy of Christmas or the
excitement of receiving
a present. These chil-

dren have few or no
possessions to call their
own. They will be thrilled
to receive anything.
Operation Christmas
Child involves packag-
ing items into shoe
boxes, each box corre-
sponds to the age of the
child who will be receiv-
ing the gift. The items do
not have to be expen-
sive or elaborate; mini
gloves, a toothbrush,
gum, small toys (no war
toys), and hair acces-
sories are good exam-
ples of things to give.
Anything you can give
will be greatly appreciat-
ed by a much deserving
child. We have had our
donation boxes for
Operation Christmas
Child set up for the past
week and we are gra-
ciously accepting dona-
tions until the 18th of
November (the boxes
