of spectaters were present all day. Games
were well played and some excellent ones,
particularly in the men's doubles and the
singles finals caused plenty of excitement.

All in all, it as 4 very successful
tournament and credit must go to Peter Horn;
who made all the arrangements. The Commun-:
ity Centre donated the trophies and birds.
snd meals for the visitors were donated,
courtesy of Jim Rivard. Ian Kennedy acted
as official referees and sccrekeeper and ari
Mckndrew was rule master.

Everyone felt it was an exesllent tour-
nament with the times runninr well and
finishing at the allotted time, so the
slesing ceremonies went on as scheduied
with Mr. Frank Nitti presenting the
trephies on behalf of the Community Centre
Comittee.

If there were any conciusions te dea
drawn from this tournament, itws that 4
one<day event is too hard on the players
and it is noped that in another year,
