February 22, 2006 + Over the Edge Devrey Robbins Hello, my name is Devrey Robbins. I am a commerce stu- dent in my fourth year of studies pursuing a double major in accounting and finance. I have enjoyed 3 years at UNBC so far and have had many great experiences. After I graduate I | plan on pursuing a career as a,Financial Planner and eventu- ally starting a business of my own, Eventually, there comes a time in every person's life where they must give back to those who have given to them. I have been an active student playing a variety of sports like snowboarding, ringette and field hock- ey and also coaching ringette and field hockey teams. During my third year I was the treasurer of the UNBC Snowboard- ing Club. Currently, I am a member of the Monetary Affairs Commission, It has been a good experience to see how an organization can work from the inside but I believe that with the right leadership our student society could provide better representation to the students. Over my term at this school I have seen many disagreements between the students and the NUGSS society and believe that much of it has to do with the lack of communication. I hope everyone gets out to vote and I am optimistic that I will be able to work on these problems for you next year. VP Finance Satvir Sangha Born and raised in Prince George, I will be entering my third year pur- suing a degree in International Busi- ness and International Studies. Even before attending UNBC, I was ex- clusively involved in the well known Dosti club on campus, From being VP last year and previously treasurer for the club, I also held an execu- tive position (Co-chair and Direc- tor of Finance) on WUSC (World University Service of Canada). Last year I was elected as the College of Science and Management Repre- sentative at NUGSS. This position provided me with first-hand experi- ence within student political affairs. I became familiar with how NUGSS works as a society and it also en- hanced my links within the UNBC administration. From all my exten- sive experience, I believe that being elected to the NUGSS executive as VP Finance will allow me to repre- sent the student society and play a role in making NUGSS a successful organization. I look forward to many exciting new projects and especially to the upcoming development of the Northern University Student Cen- tre at the ever growing University of Northern British Columbia, Women’s Rep Emily Gremm Hi, my name is Emily Gremm and I am a third year history student here at UNBC.
