Our local population of dogs is large and steadily growing. All of us have at one time or another had some unpleasant experience with a dog and/or dogs in our town. Do we have to put up with this? Why are the dogs allowed to run loose in Cassiar? Why can't we do anything when our small pets are killed by them? Who is responsible for dogs left behind when owners leave Cassiar? What are the responsibilities of the owners of dogs? What are the provincial laws and/or rules and regulations on this matter of dogs? What can the local R.C.M.P. do to inforce these rules and regulations? What can we, as owners of dogs and residents of Cassiar do to help with this problem? Where and how can an interested res- ident obtain the answers to these and many other questions on this subject? NOTE: The Asbestos Sheet will print any information received in reply to this letter in the next issue. x ek
