In this northern division competition eight teams competed, including a team from Cassiar. Although the Cassiar team did- n't win the trophy again this . year, it was felt that our boys performed very well. ; - The problem this year, was a nt SALE Se [Pe ety =«split problem. Pitcture #1 shows et Pm one of the teams rescuing a man from a crusher hopper when the conveyor was inadvertantly started. He has a broken back and the problem is to rescue him. About half way through this rescue operation, work was re- ceived that a fire in the dryer building had trapped a man inside. This necessitated the Captain having to split up his team and send some to attempt to rescue the trapped man. The second picture shows the victim being given artificial resuscit- ation after being removed from the fire area, CASSIAR MINE RESCUE TEAM *Front row, L to R: Albert Kutsche, Captains John Forbes; Cesar Isidoro; Henry Hawkins, Vice-Captain; - Back row, L to R: Livio Fregonese; ‘Ron Reeve; Kinky Borsato, Coach; Tony Zemenchik; Bill Dobie, Coach,
