Min- ister Leo Nimsick stood up before the house started its normal business Wednesday and announced that Frank Calder, 59, the NDP member for Atlin was a brand-new bridegroom. The thumping got even louder when Calder's bride, a pretty Japanese student studying English at the Univer- sity of Victoria, took a shy bow from the public galler- ies. . Calder, Nimsick told the house, was married to Tamaki Noshibe in a civil ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Wednes- day. Nimsick said he had been trying for 26 years to get Calder "matched up". Calder said later he met Tamaki when she came here in March, 1974, to attend UVIC. He said he met her again ee she returned this year "and we got going pretty steady.’ "T guess if Pierre (Prime Minister Ptere Elliott Trudeau) can do it, the little chief can," Calder said.
