This is the Cassiar Dog Pound.

It is sturdy enough to keep dogs in,
but not sturdy enough to keep irate dog
owners out.

Most people agree there is a dog pro-

blem. Loose dogs can hurt and damage.

' There is a town ordinance that dogs
are to be confined to homes, chained or
leashed...not allowed to run around lo-
ose. It's a good law, that protects
people.

BUT - dog-catchers are threatened,
the pound is chainsawed, cut, ripped
and torn apart. Dogs are still running
loose.

Laws are made by people - for people
so they may have a chance to live toge-
jther in relative peace. If good laws
are ignored, there is fear, chaos, and
eventually anarchy.

The Cassiar RCMP detachment reports
the following cases on the docket for
Provincial Court to be held November
16th at 10AM in the old Lion's Room in
the Recreation Center.

..Arnold Roy Callbreath of Good Hope
Lake will appear on two counts of rape.

..Donald Wayne Larsen of Cassiar, for- Ce

mally charged with possession of mari-
juana.

...Anthony Santos of Cassiar, charged
with theft under $200.

Disposition of these, and any other
cases appearing before Provincial Jud-|
ge McGuire on November 16, will be re-
ported in the December issue of the
Courier.

Two complaints of assault to do bod-
ily harm received from Good Hope Lake
are still under investigation by the
RCMP .

Harvey Howard Quock, 19, of Tel-
egraph Creek was arrested on Oct.-
11, 1976 for the alleged murder of
his cousin, Isaac Quock, 20.
Harvey Quock was arraigned in
Prince Rupert on a charge of non-
capital murder. Issac Quock died
as a result of stab wounds at 1:30
AM, Thanksgiving Day, October 11.

WATSON LAKE RCMP

.The death of two Watson Lake re-
sidents while hunting at Finlayson
Lake, reminds us of a cuation every-
one should remember.

The tragic accident was caused
by the lack of air inside their Ec-
onoline Camper heated by a propane
heating unit. Without adequate
