This body is composed of representatives from each of the other student organizations, and its function is to deal, both separately and in conjunction with the Staff, with the problems which confront the student body, and to act in an intermediary capacity between the student body and the staff. During the year many difficulties were discussed and solved by this body, and numerous suggestions made and adopted for the advancement of the students. A notable feature of this organization is that its sphere of usefulness is not confined to the school alone. Students who have the privilege of belonging to the Council receive an experience and training through the work they do in it which fits them to later on take outstanding and respons- ible positions in the life of their villages, to meet with intelligence and insight the problems which confront them there, and to take their places as good citizens.
