During the past 6 years there has been
very little done to improve the facilities
of sour local curling rinko

The membership of the curling rink has
been rising steadily, due partly te the
longer mining season and partly to the
growth of the townsite.

Theres are many possibilities for improve-
ment of the curling rink, such as en= _
larging the lounge, adding a thira sheet
of ice, installing artificial ice to ex-
tend the season.

it is proposei that the gute dues
be raised to 320 for men and $10 for
ladies, This issue will be discussed and
voted on by those present at the ov. 18th
 weatdngy

TABLE TENNIS

Tuesday last saw a very exciting finals
in the recent table tennis tournament,

which started on Sunday and was played

right through to the completion of the
semi-finals that night. Tw sections

| were established and the four finalists

that emerged played off on Tuesday. Li
Hanley beat Bobbi Stewart in the 2nd
group and David Acason beat Paul Kiss in
the lst. Both the finals were really

good close games and were watch ed by quite
a se pecple.

| BADMINTON

Whitehorse badminton Club are coming to |
Cassiar for a friendly tournament Saturday
24th November which should stimulate club
play for a while. It is hoped every |
one will turn up Sunday if thay can so
that arrangements for the week-end can
be discussed.
