Wists Op is Pg By Robert Cichocki Fellow Canadians, the Canada-USA lumber dispute demonstrates that Canada’s politicians and business lead- ers remain dumb to Brian Mulroney’s phony Free Trade Agreement and Jean Chrétien’s North American Free Trade Agreement sur- rendering Canada’s resources and industries to Corporate USA. And now, that the Yankee lumber traders are now simply exer- cising their rights to Canada’s timber under the national treatment clauses of the FTA and NAFTA. However, for effective sur- render, these Yankees need Canada to harmonize to the USA private bidding system on trees. And they need Canada to sell raw logs or timber. So, these Yanks have slyly devised a phony lumber crisis in Canada using punishing “Stand back, By Aaron L. Baker | thought | would write this small rant on creationism in response to the article in the last edition of Over the Edge, Reasons to Believe: A Case for Creation. Unfortunately | was unable to attend the lec- ture and for those who attended | hope I’m not too redundant. Disclaimer is done. | leave it to the reader to make up their own minds on these things but here’s some food for thought. The author Robert Anton Wilson (R.A.W.), while not a creationist, gives a simple 1- 2-3 formula that discredits the theory of evolution, (WARN- ING: R.A.W. gives notice that use of this argument by “...certified saints of sancti- fied Fundamentalism,” e.g. Jeri Faliwell, will cost $100,000 US per use, cheques payable to him. They hope to bully Canada into tree bidding har- monizing and to cripple and destroy Canada’s softwood industry to grab companies, raw logs and trees at fire-sale prices. Ironically, Canada’s over devalued dollar subsidizes the Yanks with a near 40% discount in stealing Canada’s resources and industries. Unfortunately, Canada’s duped politicians, lumber negotiators and executives remain typically divided and confused. Some want to negotiate a tariff settlement while others want to challenge tariffs using NAFTA and the World Trade Organization. To acknowledge and nego- tiate tariffs gives the USA tar- iff extortion credibility. And negotiating while under duress only further surren- ders Canada’s _ softwood industry and trees. we're on a mission from God.” 1. An animal can only belong to one taxonomic fam- ily. You can’t belong to the set of all humans and lizards. Or the set of all platypus and ants. Etc. 2. The offspring of any two animals also can only belong to the one taxonomic family, that of its parents. When humans mate we have baby humans not moose. When moose mate they have baby moose not ostriches, etc. To also quote R.A.W., “Even when cross-species fertiliza- tion occurs, e.g. the mating of a horse and a donkey bring- ing forth a mule, the mule belongs to the same family (equines) as the parents, even if not to the same species of either.” Not many biology texts will argue the validity of both these theories, however here’s the kicker. 3. However if evolution exists, some animals must produce offspring who do not belong to the same taxonom- ic family as themselves. Two fish must have brought forth some biological mutant called an amphibian, just as a lizard must have given birth to a monstrosity called a mam- mal. Genetics says this does- n’t happen; 1-2-3 there goes Alternatively, NAFTA (ie chapter 11) surrenders Canada’s resources to corpo- rate USA. Furthermore, the World Trade Organization really represents the New World Order economic cult, which undermines national interests so monopolistic cor- porate cartels can steal the public's’ resources and assets. Clearly, it’s time Canadians challenged the Yankee lum- ber bullies with a direst counter-offensive such as: 1. Start Canada’s freedom from the USA strangulation by giving an official six months notification to cancel Canada out of the FTA and NAFTA agreements. 2. After release from FTA and NAFTA, immediately counter Yankee tariff extortion by raising and keeping prices of gas, oil, and electricity exports to the USA higher than USA tariff revenues and evolution. Maybe. The comedian Bill Hicks summed up the counter argu- ment for me in one of his rou- tines. In a conversation Hicks says that he had with a Fundamentalist Christian, he was told their theory on the age of the world. This reli-- gious group had added up the ages of all the human beings listed in the bible start- ing with Adam and Eve. These serious academics calculated the earth’s age at about 12,000 years give or take a few years. Hicks replied that he had one ques- tion of one word, Dinosaurs? Did they just forget to mention them? Maybe Noah didn’t have room on the ark for a 30 ton lizard, let alone pairs of them. What about the fossil records we dig up? Is it a giant conspiracy to misinform us? Maybe God is pulling a cosmic practical joke on us? (HaHaHa I'll keep them guessing!) Other theories punch away at creationism, like biological drift, the success of mutant Strains, etc. Go read the his- tory of the domestication of plants by humans if you want to see mutant strains thriving and succeeding under Our Lumber our lumber. 3. Use these new revenues to directly help unemployed and displaced lumber work- ers, revive lumber companies and revitalize our forests. 4. Raise the Canadian dol- lar to stop the subsidization of Americans obtaining our lum- ber, gas, oil, electricity, and other resources at fire sale prices. 5. Adopt policies to increase Canada’s economic independence, by increasing trade with the whole world and less with USA. And help poor countries buy our lum- ber, etc., by giving them easy credit and loans. ' 6. Give the George W. Bush Administration an ultimatum; either make a proper fair trade agreement to include lumber or to have Canadian lumber, gas, oil, and electrici- ty systematically cut off to the USA as long as USA lumber tariffs remain. The Blu human care. Problems like these seem to point us towards evolution. Maybe. A third option to this dilem- ma comes from the noted lin- guist Zachariah Sitchin. He specializes in deciphering ancient Sumerian texts, with some surprising translations. Sitchins translations propose that life was evolving on earth quite normally until about 40,000 BCE. Then we were visited by aliens’ the Sumerians called the Annunaki. They had travelled from their planet Nibiru to col- lect gold (hmm maybe they do have something in com- mon with us?) which they] » needed for their world. They). built pyramids to make mark- ers for landing U.F.O’s and started mining the gold. However this was hard work that the Annunaki were unac- customed too so they put their scientists to work. These bright fellows decided to crossbreed alien D.N.A. with the D.N.A._ of advanced, local, human, (read Cro-Magnon Neanderthal man.) “And God created Man in his own image...’ After this feat a long tumultuous affair ensues. If you’re interested @ ay 7. To save our forestry industry, jobs and trees, ban all exports of raw logs. Fellow Canadians, why remain victims of the “free” trade and “open” market scams. Yesterday, Yankees easily claimed rights to our gas and oil. Today, it’s our trees and lumber industry. Tomorrow, it’s our fresh water, electrical resources, hospitals and healthcare systems and even education system. Before Canada’s wealth disappears leaving you bank- rupt and losing your home, why not smarten-up our docile politicians, naive nego- tiators, and stunned business leaders. Have them stop being suckered into aiding Yankee Traders scamming and draining Canada dry. es Brothers see Sitchin’s The Twelfth Planet and other books. So here we have a third option in our quest, a meeting of the two clashing theories. There are many other argu- ments to be made and | can’t hope to cover them all but it brings me to my point of writ- ing this rant.
