For the past few months, Canadian Waste has been forced to throw your recycling in the garbage because it is contaminated. Please use the recycling bin properly. Self Defense Course Update: Two self defense courses were recently held at the University cam- pus. Low numbers on the first day resulted the course being resched- uled early next semester. The sec- ond day had a better turnout and positive reports were received by attendees. The upcoming course will again be free or by donation for any interested women. Please watch for upcoming information. AIDS Awareness week: Events are planned during the week of Nov. 27 - Dec. 1, 2000 throughout Prince George. We are looking to create a display here at UNBC and interested volunteers can sign up inside the Women’s Centre, or e-mail jessicarose @ hotmail.com Open House: Another open house will be held at the Northern Women’s Centre on November 20, 2000. All men and women are invited to attend and ask any questions about the activities, roles, and Importance of the Center. But then | realized that most of the people who told me these things couldn’t name a single sorority girl or what they did as a group.
