The Sports Medicine Council of B.C. in conjunction with Cassiar Community Club will hold the two clinics. at 9:00 a.m. on February 14 in the Cassiar Lions Den and the session will. be “Sports First Aid - Level 1”. This course will cost $35.00 per person and includes all course materials. The second clinic is “Strength and Flexibility” and will be held at the Lions Den on February 15th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The course fee is also $35.00 and includes all course material. Facts about the Canadian Cancer Society, B.C. & Yukon Division 1986 Did vou know that: This, Division raised $3,325,000 during its 1986 Annual Campaign. The National Cancer Insti- tute of Canada is the re- search arm of the Canadian Cancer Society. Funds raised by Canadian Cancer Society volunteers of B.C. & Yukon Division go to NCIC for National distri- bution. NCIC gives back to B.C. more than is sent! This Division sends 48% of its revenues to the Na- tional Cancer Institute of Canada to be distributed among various research projects. The NCIC returns 52% of our total funds raised to the doctors and researchers of UBC, CCABC and BCCF. This means that in 1986, the NCIC sent 2.5 million dollars in grants to our Division.
