83 Tne portion south of the Peace river which flows easterly across the south half of this township was the only part of which was investigated. A landing at whieh boats plying the Peace, Gall reesularly is located in the centre of section 9. From the landing a roaé leads to the setilement to the south. This roac is in exeelient condition with the exception of the grade up the Peace River hill which is very steep. Host of the country on the south side of the Peace has been overrun by fires and some — of it is practically opene Sut on account of the rough nature of the valleys which eut up this part and rernéer parts almost inaccessible, the land is more suitable for grazing than agricultural purposes. The only settlers in the towmship are located at the steam- boat landing where a stopping place is kept. No attempt at any cultivation is being made by them.
