Christmas.

Mr. & Mrs. NORMAN SMITH announced the
engagement of their daughter LINDA to
EDWARD G. HANLEY at a small party of
close friends and relatives held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. G. Hanley, on January 27th.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. & Mrs. L. QUASH

on the arrival of their baby boy, Keith James,
on December 18th. Keith weighed 5 Ib. 15% oz.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. & Mrs. ABB
RATTRAY whose daughter Kimberley Dawn

arrived on January 9th in Whitehorse, weighing
6 Ib. 12 oz. The Rattrays do not have twin
,0YS as Stated in the last issue.

Born to Mr. & Mrs. C. BOUTILIER (nee Joan
Hanley), a daughter, Katheryn Pauleen,
December 21st, in Winnipeg.

Cassiar’s New Years Baby, a girl, Anne Marie,
was born to Mr. & Mrs. Charlie McKIERNAN
on January 21st. She weighed 6 Ib. % oz.

THANK YOU

The members of the girls needle-craft club
would like to thank everyone who supported
their sale of work held December 14th. The
girls made over $60 and with donations were
able to send a cheque for $100 to the Canadian
Save the Children Fund.

The Girl Guides would like to thank the
residents of Cassiar for their contributions and
donations to the recent Rag Collection. We
will be collecting again in the spring, so please
save your rags. We would also like to thank all
of you for your patronage of the cookie and
candy sale in December.

The Centennial Arena is ready for all skating
activities for this year. | want to take this
opportunity to thank everyone who has helped
to make this possible. The list of volunteers is
far too long to mention here individually.
