PRINCE GEORGE

HE City of Prince George is the largest and most
C important point in Central British Columbia. It

is a divisional point on the G. T. P. Railway,
midway between Prince Rupert and Edmonton, and les
at the junction of the Fraser and Nechaco Rivers. It is
served also by gas-boat in summer and stage in winter
from Quesnel. Is the distributing centre for the exten-
sive mining and lumbering districts in Central B.C.,
shipments being made east to Jasper, west to Smithers
and south into the Cariboo. Has Provincial Government
office, County Court, R. C. M. P. detachment, Dominion
Government and G. T. P. telegraph, local and long dis-
tance telephone. The city was incorporated in 1915.
