The Canucks provided a versatile selection of music and this kept everyone dancing until 1:30 a.n. The C.C.C. are proud to say that the evening was a happy occasion To go along with the spirit of the winter carnival. WHIST AND BRIDGE TOURNAMENT: A fun evening was had by those participating in this tournament convened by Frank McLean. Winners were: Ladies High - Mrs. H. Voss Mens High - Mr. L. Davis os Page 3 Once again the Cassiar Lions put on a good show on Saturday evening, March 13th, 1976 to round out the Winter Carnival. The fireworks display held at 8:00 p.m. started off the evening and attracted the majority of the Cassiar population. After the fireworks everyone pro- ceeded into the hall where all the games of chance were set up; Bingo, Crown § Anchor, Over 4 Under Seven, Fish Pond, Spill the Milk and various other games. The hot dogs and pop went like crazy and the liquid refreshments were also very popular. The hall was filled with people ranging from babes in arms to senior citizens. The evening drew to a close with the Lions 200 Club Draw. A prize of $400.00 is held each month at a major function in Cassiar. The winner this month was Jack Thornicroft's brother. Mr. Thornicroft had bought his brother a ticket for Christmas and it sure paid off.
