This bridge was constructed to give access to the soldier settlement on the west side of the Kiskatinew rivers fhe settlers on the westerly side of the Kiska- tineaw river hope to have = breil. opened. out to the Peace river in the near future. Such a road giving them access te tne pavigable waters of aa Peace would considerably reduce the cost of bringing in supplies, etc. he Grande Prairie district. = All the vonés to range 12, the westerly part of the Crande vreirie district branch from the main route between Grande Freairie and Pouce Coupe. fhe settlement in the vicinity of the Reawillow river is tavped by a road leaving the main route et the northeast corner ef section 8-7i-$. This road which is in fair condition leais te Rio Grande post effice, and from there seversi locai trails serve the rem winger of that settlement. The settlement in township 72, range 12, is served rl _ trails, one fram Beaverloége and the other from Hythe. The rosé from Beaverlodge is the most used but as very Little oi it has been improveé the trail as a whole is. only in fair condition. The trail from Hythe up to recently angled aerons country, last summer the setslLers feneed in their holdings whereby forcing the traffic to the rosé allowances which have not been im= proved. Thiz road is now in a reugh condition and very little used. The main road passes through the northeast portico 1 of tomship 7312 y a branch trail from it leads to the Y ec waeent along the northerly side of Beaverlodge river.
