B.C. Police Sergeants Attend
Canadian Police College

SERGTS. J. A. YOUNG and Carl Ledoux
of the B.C. Police had the good fortune to
be assigned to Class 9 at the federal gov-
ernment’s Canadian Police College, in ses-
sion at Rockcliffe, Ontario from February
Ist to April 23rd this year.

Nearly sixty subjects were included in
the College’s curriculum, and about the
same number of lecturers saw to it that the
police students got every benefit from the
courses. -

tion exercises were held in the Rockcliffe
Auditorium on April 23rd when the stu-
dent body were favoured with addresses by
Commissioner S. T. Wood, R.C.M. Police;
the Hon. Grote Stirling, M.P., the Hon.
Louis St. Laurent, P.C., K.C., M.P.,
Canada’s Minister of Justice.

Sergt. J. A. Young of the B.C. Police,
chosen as valedictorian of the graduation
class replied on behalf of the police stu-
dents. The Minister of Justice awarded
the diplomas and the ceremony ended with
the playing of the national anthem.

All who attended at Rockcliffe were most
appreciative of the efforts made to make
